The Craft

Shaped by hand. Rooted in Tradition.

Every cross begins as a stock piece of lumber — soft woods like cedar, fir, and pine are preferred, but hardwoods can be used if required by the patron. I also use reclaimed lumber when I can find suitable stock. Each board is chosen for its grain and character.

I'm in no hurry to build these and do not work from a modern machine-filled shop. I produce these pieces of wall art using traditional joinery and finishing techniques that I learned from my father over fifty years ago.

Good art conveys feeling — these crosses are meant to do just that and also be a beautiful addition to your home or office. They are intended to tell the observer something about you that is apparent but unsaid.

Custom Work

Use a series of crosses as a wall hanging

Need something custom as a gift, a memorial, a centerpiece for your home or chapel?  My standard size is 24” X 17” X 3”.  If you need a different size or color perhaps, I can build you something special.
